You supply the gumption, we supply the gear. You'll be glad you have coveralls, gloves, boots, knee pads and a lighted helmet as you twist and crawl your way through this two hour, one of a kind, spelunking adventure with our experienced guides. They'll take you through the Mystery Passage, across the dry underground stream bed and up to the Great Rotunda. Tour Rate
- $108 per person (tax included)
- Adventure Tour rate will be charged at the time of the reservation.
- The per-person charge includes rental of all outer wear (coveralls, gloves, boots, knee pads and lighted helmet).
- Adventure Tour guests also receive a souvenir and certificate memorializing their accomplishment, as well as a complimentary pass for the Traditional Tour.
- No discounts are available for Adventure Tours.
Reservations Required
- Reservations are required and can be made by calling Howe Caverns at 518-296-8900.
- You must sign the release and liability waiver (downloadable below) to go on the Adventure Tour.
- You may download the release form to read prior to your tour, sign, and bring it with you.

In addition to our Adventure Tour, we have our Traditional Tour for all ages and our authentic Lantern Tour for those who want to experience Howe Caverns as Lester Howe did when he discovered them.
Things to Remember
Please dress appropriately for maximum comfort during your tour. Bring a light jacket and wear comfortable shoes that give you a good level of traction. The cavern environment is a constant 52° Fahrenheit / 12° Celsius and 70-75% humidity, year round.
For the safety of our guests and preservation of the cavern, large bags, backpacks, food and beverages, etc. are not permitted underground.
Wheeled devices and strollers are not permitted in the cavern. Above ground areas are accessible to mobility impaired visitors. A 25 minute video of the cavern tour is available for those who cannot tour the cave.
Bring your camera! We encourage you to take photographs; however, tripods are not permitted in the cavern.
There are no restrooms in the cavern. Please remember to use the facilities above ground prior to your tour departure. You will be underground for 80 minutes.
For the convenience of our guests who travel with their pets, we have seasonal kennels available. Our kennels are comprised of individually fenced and covered pens. We will also provide water for your pet. There is no charge for this convenience. However, donations are accepted and go to our local animal shelters.
