HOWES CAVE, N.Y. – Two hundred hot rods, classic cars, performance vehicles and trucks are ready to greet Dad, Granddad and the entire family when the 13th Cavalcade of Cars gets underway from Noon to 4 p.m. on Father’s Day -- Sunday, June 16 -- on the Howe Caverns Estate.
Admission to the show is free, but those attending are asked to donate a canned food item to assist the food pantries in Schoharie County. There is a $2 parking fee per vehicle for those not registering a show car.
For those entering a car in the show, registration takes place from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon and there is a $10 fee. Registrants will receive a coupon for $2 off admission for a Traditional Tour of Howe Caverns on the day of the show.
The show features music by disc jockey Big Al, a coloring contest for the kids, a model car contest and more. An outdoor barbecue will be available from 11a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Howe Caverns Pavilion, located directly behind Howe Caverns Mining Company.
Carl Jones of the Schoharie Valley Performance Street Machines -- a local car club that organizes the show -- said trophies will be awarded to the top 30 entries and one for Best of Show. Returning this year by popular demand will be a separate motorcycle class. Also, special recognition will made to those attending the show every year.

Howe Caverns, New York State’s second most-visited natural attraction, is located between Albany and Cooperstown, off Exit 22 of I-88.
