Once you find an appropriate image, you can save it to your desktop by:
- For PC - right click on "low res" and select "Save Image As"
- For Macintosh - click and hold down on "low res" and then select "Save As".

Built in 1872, the Cave House was the main entrance building to the cave and housed dining rooms and guest rooms.

Moss is a sign of plant life in the cave brought in as spores on the clothing of visitors. Moss grows around the electrical lights which acts as an artificial sun.

For the first time in more than a century, the public can visit the restored Cave House Hotel.
|

Bats are one of the few signs of animal life in a cave. Howe Caverns has a very small colony of bats that live near the natural entrance to the cave and are not visible to the touring public.
